BioName: Ethan Kyle Dee.

Appearance: Ethan is quite tall, with tawny goldish hair and green eyes. Because he's so involved with his work, he's often unshaven and unwashed for weeks, sometimes months at a time. His clothes are tattered and patched and mostly muggle in origin, though he dresses in robes for the very few ceremonial occasions he attends.
Personality: Upon a first meeting, Ethan wouldn't seem like much of a genius; being tactless, absent-minded, clumsy and nervous around other people, Ethan gives off the impression of being a bumbling fool. Despite this, Ethan is in fact stunningly intelligent. He's humble from a years of being the victim of bullying. He's also a coward, and has a terrible tendancy to get wrapped up in his work. He's inept a dueling and defending himself with magic.
History: Ethan was born in the East Anglia region of England, to a witch mother and a muggle father. As Ethan grew, he developed an interest in clockwork toys and more importantly, what made them 'tick' so to speak. By the time Ethan was five, not a single clockwork toy would remain in one piece for more than a few days, as he would take all of them and systematically take them apart to examine the insides.
Ethan attended Hogwarts, getting NEWTs in Potions, Charms, Astrology, Arithmancy, Transfiguration and Ancient Runes, at varying levels of success. From that point on he studied different branchs of Potions and Charms, focusing mostly on Alchemy and, of course, Charms involving clockwork.
After having his house and all his possessions, save some clothes to wear, his research journals and most of his laboratory, taken by the Ministry (possibly because he was bankrupt and couldn't pay the bills, or indeed, his taxes), he was offered a position devising and creating surveillance devices for the Order of the Phoenix. He has moved into Grimmauld Place and set up his laboratory in one of the unused bedrooms.
